Makram Bitar is a Lebanese born and raised stylist and consultant with a distinctive approach to fashion that exists in a fascinating space between mise en scène and reality.
After studying fine arts at the Beaux Arts of Beirut, he developed his practice in an intuitive way, all within a city devoid of a fashion ecosystem. Despite these challenges, and while working out of Beirut until 2021, Makram managed to garner the attention of international brands and publications.
His styling approach is nothing short of distinctive and almost irreverent. In a short span of time, he has developed his own language that blurs the lines between stage and reality, dressing his subjects in a manner akin to crafting costumes. Vulnerability is a recurring theme in his work and stems from his upbringing surrounded by Lebanese women who navigate between life's challenges and an unwavering quest for beauty.
His creative influence extends beyond the lens, as he played a pivotal role in the development of the Lebanese fashion brands Renaissance Renaissance and Super Yaya.
