Artist and Designer Jessica May Underwood has an established career in drawing and watercolor.
Directed by an individual focus to detail her work has an inimitable singular style. A quality of line telling of her background in English literature, traditional etching, art and curation.
Studying at Central Saint Martins Jessica graduated while working in house, drawing at Alexander McQueen. She has since worked with Nick Knight, Burberry, Vivienne Westwood and Jason Wu, designing an original hand painted chinoiserie jacquard with the designer for the Mat Gala, by request of the Wendy Yu, curator of the Costume Institute at the Mertopolitan Museum New York.
She has worked collaboratively in fashion, curation, interior design, architecture and publishing.
Her work was exhibited as a store wide campaign in the Harrods windows as the department stores first hand illustrated Spring season. The installation was extended to the HRH Chelsea Flower Show; becoming the first paper crafted fragrance garden ever to be exhibited in the shows 103 year history.
She has lectured at the Victoria And Albert Museum on the enduring art of illustration, and the history of decorative arts, and has an uncompromising commitment to the application, precision, and learning of the work that she does.
Her original paintings can be purchased through Nick Knights Show Studio Gallery, London.
