London based hair stylist Sarah Jo Palmer discovered her passion for hair at the early age of 14, helping out at her mum’s salon.
Sarah studied art and sculpture whilst continuing to hone her hairdressing skills. She later trained at Toni & Guy, working her way up within the education team and began to explore how to combine her love of fashion with her hair styling skills and creative ideas.
Sarah went on to assist on many different fashion shows and eventually became part of James Pecis core team, working as his first assistant for 8 years while at the same time building up her own portfolio.
In 2014 she co-founded Off Black magazine of which she remains editor and chief of, working with a great team on an evolving and changing creative platform.
Most recently she launched Re=comb, combs made from recycled plastic,
Spotting the need within industry to make sustainable changes of how the hair industry functions. The combs became an instant hit, they have been featured in the likes of Vogue, the Times and Dazed and are now stocked in placements like Liberty and Goodhood.
Sarah has a love for creation, innovation, business and forward thinking.
